Supreme Court Lawyer-Activist Prashant Bhushan was roughed up at his chambers here by three men . At that point of time Bhushan was speaking to a TV news channel when the youths barged into his office in the New Lawyers Chamber opposite Supreme Court this afternoon and started showering blows on him.
He was pulled out of the chair, slapped, dragged and repeatedly punched and pinned down on the floor and kicked on his chest.
Prashant Bhushan's staff and others nabbed one of the attackers who was later handed over to the Police. Bhushan was later taken to the Ram Manohar Lohia hospital. The youths claimed to belong to a group called Bhagat Singh Kranti Sena literally unknown group.
After the attack, Prashant Bhushan said it appeared that the youths targeted him for his stand on Jammu and Kashmir.
I strongly condemn the attack on Mr Prashant Bhushan Sr Lawyer Supreme Court of India and law of the land should punish the attackers.
Prashant Bhushan is one person who can never think of breaking this great nation and the Constitution of India gives one a liberty of freedom of speech.
The Delhi Police has also to probe the case from political angle as one of the culprit caught claimed to be an associate of BJP and RSS.
On its part B J P has to come clean and prove that it is not one of the conspirators in the aforesaid incident.
